Program Description
Paralegal professionals in some US States are not directly regulated by the State and can work freely and independently. Some must work under the supervision of an attorney who is responsible for the professional conduct of the Paralegal. However, specific education or training requirements are regulated by the bar association.
This allows independent Paralegals to pursue the career by obtaining an academic degree of their choice and carry out national certification in order to distinguish themselves.
This vocational program and training is in Common Law [U.S. Laws] for any person who has a minimum high school degree obtained in any country. It is the preferred program for Paralegals, Assistants, Notaries, and professionals in general.
This program is only offered to active NAFA members. For those qualified, will require an academic evaluation conducted of all their studies carried thus far out in their country of origin and in the US.
Introductory legal courses are offered throughout this program, in addition to optional internship for an associated law firm. Also for people who began studying law in a country but never completed a law degree.
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish - distance and online studies with all 12 study materials included and daily access to the teacher(s).
Requires a minimum dedication of three [3] hours of daily studies - five days a week - with flexible schedules for everyone. Includes a course to learn or improve English language proficiency and legal terminology online. This academic degree does NOT allow you to take the Florida Bar exam.
Including Voluntary legal internship program. This internship program provides qualified law members with clinical instruction in the practice of federal and civil criminal defense. Law members in any year may apply for an internship, but preference will be given to members in their second and third years. Members will be selected based on their past work or school experiences, their desire to work in the area of criminal and civil defense, their demonstrated level of maturity and competence, as well as the level of commitment they are prepared to make to the work of the Government and Private Office.
