TITLE: PROFESSOR IN STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING
DUTIES:
Prepare and deliver lectures to graduate students on topics such as mechanics, hydraulics, and robotics. Keep abreast of developments in their field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
Supervise graduate teaching, internship, and research work. Evaluate and grade students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, and papers. Conduct research in a particular field of knowledge, and publish findings in professional journals, books, and/or electronic media. Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts. Compile, administer, and grade examinations, or assign this work to others. Write grant proposals to procure external research funding. Supervise students' laboratory work. Initiate, facilitate, and moderate class discussions.
REQUIREMENTS:
Ph.D. in Engineering OR in equivalence of at least 12 years of experience, 7 years of related occupation. Drug test, background check, written reference required; advanced computer skills required, immediately available. Non-smoking at place of employment. Must be able to work under strict time constraints; strong oral and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Must be detail-oriented, and must have excellent pedagogy and analytical skills. In addition, sensitivity as well as deductive and Inductive reasoning; Available on weekends and overtime as required. Available travel.
SALARY/OVERTIME:
$94,630.00 Yearly
HOURS: (TIME SCHEDULE, DAYS / HOURS):
40 Hours for week. Work Schedule: 8:30AM to 5:00PM Monday-Friday
